Student Groups

BLAST Group is specifically designed for students in 3rd grade and under. If you have any questions about this ministry please contact the church office.

Hope Group is specifically designed for students in 4th-6th grade. This group meets monthly with education and fellowship opportunities that prepare them for confirmation ministry as well as meet tween needs. Typically this group meets on Sunday afternoon a month from 12:30-2. If you have any questions about this ministry please contact the church office.

Confirmation or catechism is taught for students in 7th and 8th grades with students having the options of receiving the rite of confirmation in the spring of their 8th grade year. Students in confirmation will be taught subjects following Luther’s Small Catechism as well a variety of other subjects. In confirmation students are encouraged to learn to think through their own personal beliefs about God and work toward determining belief. Students will also have opportunities for service and fellowship with their own group as well as the high school ministry. High School Ministry at Hopeful is designed for students in 9th-12th grade. Our high school ministry values the thoughts and wondering by our students and they are a critical voice in designing of curriculum. Many people in our high school ministry have many questions that we discuss and work through. Students are encouraged to find their voice as they discover what God is calling them to do.
