The North American Lutheran Church
The NALC is a fast-growing Christian church in the Lutheran tradition, uniting more than 142,500 Lutherans in more than 430 congregations across North America. The NALC embodies the theological center of Lutheranism in North America and stands firmly within the global Lutheran mainstream.
Some of our Hopeful members and church leaders where present when the NALC was constituted on August 27, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio, at a Convocation organized by the church reform movement known as Lutheran CORE.
Back in 2010, our plan was to affiliate with the NALC but timing didn't work out and we affiliated with the Lutheran Churches in Mission for Christ (The LCMC). Both the LCMC and the NALC are wonderful denominations, led by men and women of God.
As we look forward to where Hopeful is going, we believe dual-affiliation with both LCMC and NALC will provide the benefits and advantages of both organizations for our members and leaders.
The video provides some background on the NALC.
